Had a lincoln 135, but got rid of it after getting this. Built like a brick shithouse.

Having a 24’ enclosed trailer built right now for work. Prefabbing the racks for the inside of it that I’m making to hold all of our gear. I seriously loooove having the new jig table. Makes its sooo much easier to keep everything flat and square. I have to make 10 of these uprights that will be connected in between by 4’ pieces of tubing.

Made 3 of them in like an hour and half because the jig table makes it so easy to clamp and everything

Progress pic of the rack for my trailer. Got all the uprights built today. 7 and a small bottom piece for the left side of the trailer that will span 20’ and then 3 pieces for the right side of the trailer that will span 8’

Left side is for 20’ aluminum pipe, 16’ 1x3, 2x4, 2x6, 2x8’s, 28’ extension ladder, milk crates full of fittings and gear that we use, and a few other things. The left side will be for milk crates full of gear, 4x8 sheets of plywood, and other misc items

Will end up looking something similar to this one that I built for my buddy’s truck but will be more specific to my needs

What is the intention for the strap strip along the front?

The E track? We usually have rolling carts that take up the aisle way in the truck or trailer and so we put up that E track so that we can strap off the carts to the rack.

So here is my second welding project. Bought a Hobart Handler 210 about 2 weeks ago. First was a cart, now I'm in the middle of building a welding table. Friend had some old 3x3 1/4 inch wall square tube he let me have. Took a lot to clean it up and make it useable but free steel is always welcome. The rest I bought from my steel supplier.

Looks similar to the design I have in mind.

I actually have all the material for my table I was going to build. 3' x 5' top out of 1" x 3" sqr spaced out to fit clamps in between each slat and the frame out of 2" tube .120 wall with storage underneath. However, now I am debating... use that 2" .120 wall sqr tube and make some sliders for my '03 dbl cab or actually build my table. If I decide to go the sliders route ill have a bunch of 1 x 3 laying around for awhile until I decide to actually build the table..Hmmm... decisions, decisions....:goingcrazy::annoyed:

I have a 240v stick welder. My question, is it enough for 1.50 with 120 wall DOM tubing?

I also have access to a 120 v / 30 amp wire feed flux core welder as well but the 240v is more easily to access

I've never welded before first time. I'm going to practice by welding together a workshop table and maybe a couple other things for around the home.

    30 amp input or output?
Very few tools of any type are made for a 30 amp 110volt unless they are dual voltage

Edit: Unless they are old as hell

This could be very interesting !!

Have you given any thought to just what type of filler metal your planning to use ??

AC only output or AC/DC ?

I need to read a little more about filler metals before I can answer this question and I'm not sure if its AC or AC/DC

Can you post some pics of your welders?

There is no shame in not being sure of what you got.

Us regulars on this thread kinda like showing off our knowledge. If we can help someone new to welding, we consider it a win.

Well I took my first hack at making something usable related to off-roading. Made a rock slider adapter for my hi lift. Turns out, the 2x2 square tube I have fits perfectly over the 1.75” rock sliders.
