Yes you definitely should! Otherwise you'll be hitting u bolts instead of bump stop haha They don't need to be flush, but maybe 1/4" - 3/8" of thread showing.

Lobbed those fuckers off. Took it for a run across town and was just the best. Rode so smooth. Felt like I was 2 extra meters in the air.

Oh shit! Parking garages suck. I’m always so worried about scraping.

When we installed the lift we had about 1 3/4" leaving his garage so I thought I would be fine. Took it slow enough that I didn't damage the cap I just have to really replace that last cross member and straighten out the vertical members.

Might take the time to lower the whole thing to the roof instead of sitting on these little "bump stops". Will that fuck with my chi?

Dropped in three SKF U270 U-Joints and a Western Star centre bearing Saturday.

Centre bearing has been squealing for a month and thought I might as well replace the u joints while I'm at it. Went to the HD ones because "buy once, cry once"

Grease your u joints every 5000 km (when you do your oil changes) this one only has about a 1/8" of play and you will save your u joints from this

    Greased to Fuck....free undercoating20180714_164047_HDR.jpg

Done and done, probably too me 8 hours to do this all.

The end was prolonged by the rear axle U Joint when they have me a cap with broken needle bearings. Swapped out two of them for the older needle bearings and packed it. 3 times the bearing slipped out of line during install which had my friend and I swearing... a lot

    Glad to be done.

I have the same one in my subie and I really like it. Did you check to see if the firmware was up to date? I had to update mine a few months after ownership because it was acting up.
