See thread linked above on why that is not a good idea if you run them on the street.

Recommend you save stock components so when the “upgrades” start getting condensation on the inside, yellowing outside and/or messing with your electrical system you don’t have to track down OEMs.

Nothing, unless you do not plan to run them on the road or get a real retro fit setup with proper cutoffs.

The housings are made for halogen bulbs. Low level LEDs aren’t bad, but not fantastic. Running HIDs in them is a jerk move for anyone else on the road. That comment will bring people out of the woodwork to complain that it’s your truck and do what you want, but we’re on the road with you.

How do your HID Philips kits for Taco headlights work with projector housings for halogen bulbs? Don't the projectors need to be HID specific?

I see what you did there. ...I stole it from the Baja Designs website, I guess I know where they stole it from now.

Haha I was just joking. I didn’t realize it was on their website which is great. I posted and shared them for that reason!

They are amazing lights with great color and output. Customer service is awesome as well. I highly recommend them.

They work great since our all of our HID bulbs (Philips and XenonDepot) ones are laser aligned to match the filaments of a halogen bulb. This means you'll get the same light pattern and cut-off that you get with your halogen bulbs in your projector headlights as seen below:

Also, take a look at this awesome review @Doozy4212 put together: 2017 Toyota Tacoma - H11 HID Headlight Install Guide and Review
