    Have a 2wd 2001 Tacoma.

Rear shocks are shot, so researching replacements.

Also probably going to do an AAL because the back sags a lot when I load up two dirt bikes.

    According to this site:

The main difference between the Bilstein Heavy Duty vs Bilstein 5100s is that the Heavy Duty or 4600 series is designed for stock height trucks and the 5100 Series is built for lifted trucks.

Suspension newbie question: Is the AAL considered a "lift" such that the 4600's wouldn't be ideal?

Given it's a 2wd Tacoma, I don't need high-performance off-road shocks. Just looking for a smooth ride and to not have so much sag in the back when loaded.

So the 4600s definitely wouldn't work?

Depends on how bad your sagging, the AAL absolutely lifts but that's from stock with no sag. The AAL might just get you back to level.

    Gotcha.
Looks like the 5100's are only $10 more (each), so might as well just go for them since they'll work regardless of what the AAL lift results in.
