My wife’s SR22 literally fell apart in her hand at the range also the same place we bought it. Gunsmith spotted the problem right away. Sent it back to Ruger the next day, got it back in under a week not a dime charged to us and the gun has worked flawlessly since 1.5+ years.

Note that was many years ago. Dunno what their CS is like now. Won't ever find out, either.

    That's good to hear.

I have a friend that has a problem with his SR-762 feeding from the factory magazine. He called ruger and they told him he could send it back but there was 4 - 6 week wait time and he had to ship it back on his dime or they told him to go and buy a different buffer spring and that should solve the problem. Well, it didn't solve the feeding issues and when he called ruger back, he was told there was nothing they could to help him under warranty because he modified the rifle by changing the buffer spring.

They just don't care. People are buying guns at a record rate. I only own 2 rugers. 1 is the redhawk 44 mag 2.75" barrel and a 45LC vaquero . I haven't had any problems with these 2 revolvers but I definitely wont buy a gas operated gun from ruger. Not a new 1 at least.

    Come on guys! Seriously?
Don’t let these guys scare you off. I own multiple Ruger’s including the RPR and I pound the shit out of them. No gun manufacturer is going to be mistake free a problem free,
    “case in point”
Look how much we love our Tacoma’s and yet there has/is still been multiple issues with it throughout the years, and yet it still remains as the #1 resale vehicle in the world.

It’s funny, I Two, had said the same thing once about our beloved Tacoma’s , having a double suspension failure & two different model years. Completely swore them OFF, And yet here I am still buying another one. I was actually ready to go to court against Toyota Corporation over both case files.

Have had the American bolt gun in 308 for some years now... Great running bolt gun, very accurate... Have never had to deal with the customer service. So not even any anecdotes in that space. But here's something: everyone wants inexpensive, that inexpensive comes at a price, somewhere, something has to give... Quality, quantity, speed, can't have all three, one will suffer... As consumers we can influence some but not all... Make your choices, but make them informed... Not speaking to Ruger here, just in general

It is a great gun, had mine for 5 years. Very accurate and very simple to take down. I just traded mine in for a s&w m&p 2.0 9mm. It is a little less weight, easier to carry and just a little smaller of a barrel so essentially the same accuracy.

Just bought one of these. 6.5 CM, 24” Proof barrel. Just have to play the waiting game now. Can’t wait to give my Bushnell HDMR a new home!
