I got sliders and full skids on order and wondering if anyone here is running the same on stock OR Bilstein's. With everyting installed, it will be an additional 300 lbs. Is there any sag on the front? Ride quality on trails? Is it a good idea to keep running it like this? I hate to admit it but I actually like the stock height and feel of the OR billies but I don't really wanna upgrade unless I have to.

No skids but have the mobtown sliders installed and can feel the extra weight but everything seems to ride fine on my stock OR bilsteins.

That's what I was running up until a few weeks ago.
Now, I didn't actually measure it myself, but according to my installer it was " Just about 20 in front and 21 inches in the rear" hub to fender. So it looks like ~ 1" sag in the front.
Aaaand yes, I felt the extra weigh. It made front a bit more softer and bouncy (*floaty) , for lack of better words. Idk about ride quality on trails, sorry... East coast slow crawling...
I was running like that for about 1/2 year, wasn't bad on the street, but I wanted more lift so I upgraded
    That's my "before lift"

*Edit. You used a way better word "floaty", not "bouncy" like I said

Beautiful truck! Thanks for the input. I may go about doing coilovers for the front only if the sag is too bad. I just can't wait till the metal gets here so I can see the difference.

    Thanks :hattip:

When you will install your armor, and drive with it for a little while, that will give a better idea of what you want to do... Good luck!

Oh, and since you like the way my truck looked like before, this is how it looks like now :)
    Just about 2" lift

I've driven about 250 miles so far on just pavement and it feels fine. May have even improved fuel economy since the truck is a little lower and mostly flat underneath, less drag.

Will be putting the armor to the test on the 28th. But I'm more worried about the tires and my rear bumper that is 2" lower than stock.

Nice! And for the most asked question on TW... "What kind of lift?" ;)

I'm liking the fuel economy part cause I will be driving cross country in a few months. Lol. Does it feel like the front end floats during highway speeds with all that added weight up front?
