Hey everyone! My first post and it is a doozy!

Started removing the Rack and Pinion to replace with a new rebuilt one. I was able to remove all bolts except for the lower Passenger mount clamp bolt. Head is stripped and the 12 mm bolt on the other end (inside the frame) turns but doesn't come off. So I started grinding the 19mm head off and thought it would come off easy enough. The flange part of the bolt is still on and I decided to try to drill it out with a carbide drill. My plan is to drill out the bolt and then remove the rack and figure out a replacement bolt. Having difficulty so started hacking away with the grinder and I may have done damage to the bracket. I just want to sawzall it off at this point.

For the life of me I can't find the replacement bracket anywhere online.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Lots of people damage that one bolt mistakenly because it looks like a bolt but its a weld nut, the bolt is above the rack and you remove it as such.
