whats up guys. I have a 2007 Tacoma TRD 2wd with a rear locker and brand new ko2s all around. Ive never been camping in California and My wife and I are planning a week long camping trip and the end of September starting in SD and going up the coast stopping at some of the nice camp spots in the area. Can my truck handle getting to most of the popular camp grounds or should I look into putting the tent on my wife’s 2018 Subaru Forester xt?

You will be fine with the truck. All official campgrounds can be gotten to by a 2wd truck. Its the dispersed camping that you will have to be picky about. But airing down and driving carefully and you will be able to go lots of places.
