Give Away Idea

I read some threads and got this idea, I think it could be a lot of fun!

What if a few of us got together to put together a give away package, it could include basic stuff like some basic recovery gear, cosmetic items for their trucks, anything really. It’s whatever we decide to put in to the package, but make it inexpensive to ship. (Surprise package possibly?) Maybe if some of the vendors liked it, they could even donate to it.

Here is an idea for how it would work. We come up with a challenge. Best scenic picture with their truck in it. Take a photo with the most interesting animal. Take a picture of yourself with the highest number of marshmallows in your mouth. Best recovery story. Cleanest garage. Dirtiest garage... The possibilities are endless. Something simple, but definitely fun for the rest of us to see.

Thread could be opened for a set amount of time where they would find out what the challenge is, complete the challenge, and post their picture. They would need to have their username in the post to get credit for the picture. The top 5 or 10 posts would get a new thread with a poll where everyone could see the pictures and vote on their favorite. Winner at the end receives the give away package. It could be done once a year, every 6 months, or seasonal.

Who would want to see something like this? There are thousands of us, so we could potentially see a lot of fun responses. If you’re interested, who would be willing to donate to it?

That’s awesome. That was pretty specific to California though, or at least the south west. Might be fun to bring in the whole forum for it, and simple challenges that we all vote for and pick the winner of. Could be easier to replicate on a seasonal, monthly, semi annual basis as long as we can get people involved in building up the prize packages. I could build up the first one to kick start it but I wouldn’t want to be the one to always do it.

I'm more of a pay it forward kind of guy but it's not a bad idea. A guy here needed a iQ charger switch, I had one laying around so I sent it to him, he offered to at least pay for the shipping but I told him just do something nice for someone else someday. No muss, no fuss, just taking care of a Taco brother from another mother.
