Wish I had gone with C vs E on KO2s; they rode like shit on the highway. Just sold mine from my last truck and likely going with LRC duratracs for this truck.

Yep on the lift, the Icons and Dakar leafs put it at about 2.5" over stock. I really like the look of the 285s, but the performance hit is just too much so I kept 'em on the smaller side.

I'm shocked at the ride difference between the C and the E rated tires, it's really night and day.

I'm with ya on the RTT situation, I've been following the Waypoint RTT thread really close myself (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/waypoint-rtts-op-updated-6-7.499484/). I don't camp enough now to justify the expense, but hopefully with this upcoming shift change i'll get to go camp a lot more!

I follow that thread too :D I have also been following the awning thread. I really like the square 2m one.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/foxwing-awning-annex-gb-interest-gauge-round-3.542008/

I would plan to leave the RTT on my camper shell 24/7. I'm not too concerned with MPG's but I wonder what the difference b/t a normal RTT vs the hard shell would be. Also, the durability of being left on 24/7. The hard shell is almost 4x's the RTT in price, so that's a big consideration too.

I ran across a company called Lost Coast Tents that expect their hard shell to be less than 2K.....that sounds interesting to me.

Plus, when you start talking 4K for a RTT, you might as well look at the GFC at 5K.

No doubt. It's definitely top of my hard shell list. That's not much more than a normal RTT. I can't get on that coe designs web site at work, so I haven't ever seen it.......and I never think about it when I'm home

He's got better pics of them on the first page of that thread if you wanted to see how they look.

I haven't seen it. I would imagine it's 10K or more. I would have absolutely no use for one, but I love the "expo" look of them :D If money were no object, I'd gladly be an overlanding "poser"

My parents have caught a few on their front porch. They come and steal the cat food. They live trap them and take them up to family property or give them to one of their friends that trains coon dogs.

There's all kinds of wildlife here at work, it's nice. Owls, foxes, rabbits, raccoons, TONS of geese, and even the odd turkey every now and again.
