I got it from another member he gave me a great price on a 99.9% perfect tailgate. Most used one's I've seen dented up and bowed out some are in the $300 prive range perfect ones like this guys want in upwards of 500+. There are some repops that are good you just got to look at the quality as there are several levels for repops. The highest teer are ones that are of OE quality, fit and finish (forget the terminology). Repops you'll have to get painted most come with a primer coating. Just keep an eye out you'll eventually find one.

Just ordered new bilstein 5100 front and rear for my truck. I plan on reusing my oem springs. 97k miles on it

Will have the dealer install them at frame refresh time.

I bounced between Monroes and bilstein. What sold me was this board and all the positive reviews of bilstein.

Big shoutout to @HeadStrong Off-Road for their help!

Looks like a very cool set up. I really want to add mobile air eventually, and was hoping to do some sort of configuration that includes an accumulator air tank, like you have there. Can you review your likes/dislikes once you have had a chance to run it for awhile? I like the looks of it, may be exactly what I was looking for!

I’ve actually changed my mind about that. I was gonna do a whole setup with the comp and fuse box, but I’m so impatient and want to mount the compressor already. Here’s the new updated mount...I added two holes for an L bracket in the back to support the compressor. Mocked it up yesterday and it held up to the weight. Cleaned it up and brushed the stainless. 896A94B3-5090-41D0-8597-A886D2C20087.jpg

I'm in Southern California but you're definitely supposed to have a front plate.
Funny thing is if you drive down Pacific Coast Highway 50% of the people that live in the beach cities don't have front plates on their Beamers, Tesla's, Mercedes, Range Rovers.
I'm waiting for my vintage style black plates, then I'll probably use my Bozzmount

Keep us updated on how that works out. I've been meaning to buy one of those for 5+ years but refrained due to the cable pinch problem. Disappointed to see they still haven't fixed the issue other than manually guiding it in.

I'll play along with their game and try to "train" the cable to go the right direction. We'll see.

I didn't put it back in place because it's quite tight

There's a lot of filter exposed on the bottom and an air gap around the rest of it. I'll be watching it for any issues but have already thought I would remove it. Just thought I'd try it this way for now.

I bought one of those a couple of years ago, and, after stripping out the bolt on the tailgate side, I surrendered. But I heard about those not being compatible with the 2015 Tacomas and was willing to try anyway. I still have the EZ Down in the package, but your inquiry has me thinking ... what if you could find a skinnier cable, or one that has more flexibility so it doesn't kink and could still support any added weight? I'm almost willing to try to install mine again if there was such a workaround .. and if I can get that damn bolt off.

I put some 5100 billies in the front with some 885s. I kept the tires and added new force vector wheels because the tread was still golden on the tires. I added a 1" aal rc and tuff country UCA. Love the look and I'm going to move the Billies up one notch from the bottom to level the truck. I also, went black on all the handles, badges, and turn markers.8.jpg 17.jpg 1.jpg 7.jpg
