I tell ya, I was searching for some last night and I am blown away by how much these damn things cost. No wonder some guys make their own soft shackles.

I will have one bolt in a factory location and then I will drill a new hole for the second. Frame is plenty big enough. I will have two. However, if you wanted three you could have three too. Just use the first Bolt. The second factory one would be in the middle section so you’d need to get a washer or something big enough to tighten the other bolt down too since it is smaller than the hole on the hook. Then drill a hole for the third one if you want. I think two bolts are enough for sure. I mean that is what all the F150’s have on their trucks is just the two bolts. You should do it. It’s like it was made for it. Very easy install and not expensive.

Yeah that is one thing I have noticed, especially with the mudflaps gone. I've debated running Line-x on the bottom parts of my doors.

I am going to drill another hole for sure Katie. I agree too, if the Ferd only had two, that should be plenty strong. I also have that Smittybuilt beaver step if things get crazy. I honestly like how they might add a little protection to the bumper from idiots in the parking garage here at work! Why I will be moving them as far back as possible. Might also be a step point. Mine shipped today.

Yea, I don't get it. I will look around for some CL or Ebay finds. Maybe at junk yards too off of tow trucks or something like that. I could see maybe 10 bucks each but some of these things are crazy expensive. o_O

Thank You! I think they also work with the lines of our OEM Bumpers. How the end caps kind of sit a little higher, these fill that space nicely. My plan is to have my dual exhaust tips go right on the other side of these hooks. It will look Factory IMO. Nothing will hang lower than my hitch either.

Doh, time to do more research, it's been a few years since I've looked at Clazzio product.

I'll have to retract some of my opinion of Clazzio, they offer a lot more than I remember when I first dealt with them. I still prefer a permanent installation over a seat cover myself.

Thanks! OME 2” lift, spring shocks, leafs, the whole nine yards. Already the truck rides a million times better. Just waiting to really test it out this weekend.
