So they didn't change the armor but took away the ornaments? That sucks. I've noticed in regular crucible that people tend to hide more but I'm like you and I'll flank them every time I get a chance. I don't really care about the ship, sparrow, or ghost. I just want the scout. I'm glad I played when the ornaments were still a thing and I have them on all my characters. I'm not sure I really want to spend time in there now since the quest for the claymore is more enticing to me now.

Seems like Trials has become a side project now instead of being the top PvP activity.

 

I don't play the meta. I refuse to use the GL. I still run The Darkest Before and do well with it along with the Antiope-D. We ran a few matches last night since we haven't been in crucible since the update. Only lost one game.

 

I'm sure trials will get some love but yeah I'm didn't play last weekend and missed my last ornament for the flawless set. I was maybe a card away from the legs. Oh well, I'm ok with it.

I just used it for the 1st time, it's not bad at all. Hits pretty fucking hard once it's locked in.

 

Max stability on masterwork. I doubt I'll use it often but it has it's uses.

 

Raid and strikes when the heavy perk is on for sure


Unless that image mined from the DB with the black spindle is legit. That is my one true love for raids besides the sleeper

One of the trailers for year 2 showed what looked like a tracking rocket. There are only two that I know of right now in the game and they both suck. Not sure if there will be any new RL's in the game during year 2 or how good they will be. I miss Truth and doing trick shots in PvP. Honestly that's the only thing I do in the game at the moment. I'm not looking for year 2 to be much different than year 1. I still play but it has never even come close to D1 in terms of playability. Sure they're taking steps but I refuse to get hyped for this game. Again... all they had to do was take the formula from D1 and build on it. Instead they scrapped the entire thing and went a completely different direction which was a HUGE mistake.

 

I tried but it just doesn't do any damage compared to a sniper like DARCI or the Sins of the Past RL etc... I took it in a NF once and it didn't do any meaningful damage at all. I am glad they made snipers relevant again though.

 

Oh yeah you'll get the hits since it is a tracking RL. And an argument could be made against any other RL that doesn't have tracking on it. "If you are missing 1/3 of your shots without a tracking RL then are you really putting out the damage you could be against a tracking RL that doesn't do as much damage?". But that's why I like snipers instead. There is very little that can compete with the damage output of snipers at the moment. So I've stowed all my RL's and only use them in PvP. It really all depends on which boss you are fighting. Is it a stagnate boss like Calus or a dynamic boss in one of the strikes? That will also factor into the equation.

 

Depending on the modifiers the NF's are easier than the regular strikes. If it's a day with "blackout" active I won't even do strikes unless I'm with my group. I refuse to go in with randoms. You can easily solo a NF now if you aren't going for the top score (which lets face it... you couldn't get a top score solo). But if you want to grind for whatever drops off the NF that week you can easily solo it. This week the autorifle drops. I've got four of them and don't need it but it's there if you want to get it. And one other point is the Prestige NF is even easier since you can make it whatever burn you want and activate "heavyweight" and burn the boss down with the Sleeper.

Anyone have problems with getting booted from the servers when playing? I’m running off WiFi and some nights are fine but other nights I get booted off as soon as I get on. Tried to have the modem/router moved to the living room so I can hardwire the ps4 to it but I only have one cable jack and to being used for satellite. Thinking about trying the Netgear Powerline l, just not sure if it would be worth the money. Only other option I can think of is to run a 75ft Ethernet chord to the ps4.

 

No. Just getting boots 4 out of 5 milestones for one character and helmets 3 out of 4 milestone all with the same light level.

 

Took four attempts but finally got it. D2 Black Spindle or better yet the original Black Hammer in exotic form. White Nail actually works now

 

Damn they brought back the black hammer? That was the crota snipe back in the day right?

 

Yeah. The Black Spindle was the spin off of the Black Hammer but White Nail was removed to where it drew extra ammo from landing 3 crit shots out of your reserves. Black Hammer pulled ammo out of thin air just like The Whisper of the Worm (which is just an exotic version of the Black Hammer). The nice thing about this new sniper is

#1: How you get it. The quest is awesome but only active from Friday to Mon morning. Well designed and well thought out quest that was a surprise and was created just for this sniper.

#2: Once you get the catalyst finished it gives the sniper Box Breathing which allows for a 72% increase in what is already the most powerful weapon in the game along with a boost to reload speed. If you were able to finish the heroic version of the same quest then you were rewarded with the Catalyst. You had to go back in and open 5 chests then shoot three rounds of Oracles (Just like VoG) in a certain order then you got the sixth chest and a surprise I won't spoil for you. You could get the the Catalyst to 36% this week.

 

RVM always appreciate the breakdown brother! So it sounds like as you had hoped that D brought back some underground style quests that you have to know what you are doing to get? Glad to see its evolving for what sounds for the better for the folks who have stayed on the path.
