Towing mirror extension recommendation

I occasionally pull the trailer for my son's scout troop. It's 6' x 10' with double axles. The only problem I've had while towing is visibility. Since the trailer is a bit wider than the truck, it's impossible to see anything behind me, so I was thinking of trying some kind of mirror extension. I also considered those little stick-on "wide angle" mirrors, but I don't think they'd really gain me any improvement in rearward visibility.

 

I have the same problem with my boat. Hoping someone has some suggestions. It’s always pissed me off that tacos don’t come from the factory with mirrors that stick out a little more, especially on models with the tow package.

These mirrors look great but I don’t like the part that states -

• Instructions NOT included, Professional Installation is Highly Recommended.

 

I'm also not liking the part that says they're for 2nd gens.

That's probably about the same as Crutchfield stating something doesn't fit because a speaker needs a spacer. I imagine with the heated part you have to add a switch to control it.

Sorry about that I missed you were in a 3rd gen. I went back and looked and etrailer they have the clip ons but no direct replacements. I'll probably end up with a clip on for my limited use.
