@TOTAL CHAOS - So I have Icon Secondary shocks with their hoops and lower control arm skid plates already. Would these be a direct bolt on for me?

Icon has a steering stop spacer that gets welded on to the stock LCA to basically limit the range of the steering to prevent the brake line from contacting the shock. Do you know if this would be an issue?

You may have to purchase the TOTAL CHAOS Shock Hoops. The geometry and spacing is different between our setup and theirs. The bypass might not line up with the mount on our arm when running their hoop. Our hoops were designed specifically for this setup.

The Icon steering stop that gets welded to the factory arm will NOT be an issue since you're removing the factory arms. TOTAL CHAOS arms do require trimming the steering stops off the ball joint cradle. Here are the installation instructions showing this modification:

Can a limit strap set-up be welded to the Total Chaos lower control arms?? If so, do you have pics of it being done?

    Thanks!

There are a few different ways of setting up limit straps, welding isn't a requirement. Here is one customer setup:

Got the dual shock LCAs for my 06. Are the 1.25" wheel spacers truly required if I have 16x8 wheels with 0 offset due to that second shock mount? I got the dual shock arms because they were the same cost as the singles and singles were out of stock at my shop. I hate wheel spacers, tbh. I'll likely never go dual shock, so could I just cut off the second shock mounts and avoid spacers?

Awesome!!! I love it! Do you have pictures of the setup on a Tacoma? I understand the FJ and Tacoma are similar, just want to see it on a Taco. Also, what is the length of the limit strap in this picture? For future pics can you please, please included the strap length. Thanks so much in advance!

Sorry about the delay - we were at FJ Summit in Ouray, CO.

We can't guarantee your setup will NOT require wheel spacers. The spacing will be close based on the info we have. If anything you might need a small wheel spacer like 3/4".

Have they been installed? Is your shop an Authorized TC Dealer? It would be best to return/exchange them for a Single Shock LCA (Contact Us). I personally wouldn't cut the tabs off a new set of arms.

Limit Straps are NOT required on this setup, so our photos are limited, but as we get more pics of our LCA's I'll post!

I believe it was a 13" strap, but am not 100% certain. Unfortunately I don't have all of the specs on this customer install. He just sent us some photos :)

Using an adjustable limit strap clevis will allow for easy adjustment of the strap. You don't have to be 100% precise with tab placement or strap length. It can all be fine tuned.

I decided to go with getting some 1.25" Spidertrax spacers as a "just in case". They haven't been installed yet so I'll find out, once installed, if they are needed or not. I'm not going to take any chances with close clearances so I'll expect to need the spacers. I would exchange them for the single shock model but I may actually want to go dual shock at some point so I won't be cutting off the other tabs. Thanks for getting back to me.

I just want to share the love.
Back in Jan I bent my Spindle and LCA while wheeling.
Contacted Jason (@glorifiedwelder) and he hooked me up with the following setup and I love it.

    New spindles with TC Gussets
    TC Cam Tab Gussets
    TC Upper Control Arms
    TC Lower Control Arms

    Hey @TOTAL CHAOS,
I order some replacement bushings for my LCAs, but they didn’t come with the inner sleeves. Mine are a wee FUBARed. Looks as if they’ve been wearing on the inside of the LCA mounts. Do you all have the metal sleeves or do I need to source them somewhere else? If so can I get the specs on them? Thanks
