Howdy! Truck will operate in the North Florida/Georgia area. Really debating 4x4 vs. 4x2 going gun metal gray TRD Sport. Need to know what's really necessary and what's fluff. Eventually will be lifted 3" and receive rims and tires. This place is huge trying to read it but it will take some time.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Personally, if you’re not in a hurry and driving mostly on flatland Id get a 2wd four-cylinder automatic in the cheapest base truck you can find then build it the way you want it. Saw a new white four-door base truck at my local Toyota dealer and if I hadn’t had my truck I would’ve been rolling out in that. Good luck in your search!

    Negative, you'll regret it....get a 4x4!
Negative, you'll regret it....6 cylinder all the way! Oh, and long bed of course! Seriously though, I never intended to get 4x4 and was talked into it by a buddy and I'm so glad I did. The mpg is virtually the same for both motors so V6 would be the way to go IMO. Of course cost would be the deciding factor.

Lol, I was being a smartass! But I did go through his dilemma about what to get. Glad I ended up with what I got. No regrets.

I like cheaper maintenance and better gas mileage (I’m cheap)

Georgia? Eventually lifted? You are eventually going to want a 4x4.

I contemplated the 4x4 option as well, but like previously stated the MPG with and without it are so close, you don’t really have a downside, but so many upsides. I went with 4x4 and haven’t looked back.
