I have an all pro cage rack over the bed, but no roof rack. Think I’ll need the roof rack?

Edit: oh I don’t know why I thought you were on NJ

Can I ask how you managed to mount the roofnest Prinsu's? I have a nearly identical setup and am debating on mounting my roofnest to just the back prinsu, or both the front and back racks.

Also, did you do anything in particular to prevent rattling?

You wont wanna mount to both. Offroad, the cab and bed flex independently and can spell trouble for anything coupling them, esp made of fiberglass..

Short answer is its a pain in the ass and the juice isnt worth the squeeze, i never got it dialed and quit trying after a few trips and went back to a ground tent.

    actual answer
I had it mounted to the cab rack only.
The cab rack is way more robust than a fiberglass shell. Its tent-shell-besides and thats alot of points of failure. I used some rubber pads (cut up gym flooring) as spacers to prevent rattling. I used longer screws for the tent mounting brackets. It was pretty hard to space the tent up off the side bars and make clearance so the bedrack didnt imact the tent when it flexes. I had planned to use sheets of ABS to make a flat platform across the racks and then mount the tent to that but never got there. I still think that would be the best option.

    Good luck man.
