Just seem to remember how much fun my last Tacoma was. I like the power of the tundra but can go more places with the smaller truck

That would be the concern, many folks complain about the lack of power in the new tacos. I have a manual and think it's fine, but I came from a 4 cylinder taco.

I think it is a win either way. Both are good trucks, but it depends on your needs. I drove full size trucks from the 1970's until 2007 when I bought a Tacoma. I always knew they were good trucks, but were simply too small for my needs. By 2007 my kids were grown and out of the house so a smaller truck made sense. I have absolutely no regrets. But 11 years later life has changed again. I now have 3 grandkids and a 4th due in a couple of weeks and we have plans for a bigger travel trailer that the Tacoma won't handle. So I'm back to a full size again. But kept the Tacoma. It is perfect for my wife for her gardening and crafts. She isn't comfortable in a full size but loves driving a truck. Look carefully at your needs and try to plan ahead for the next 10 years or so. Don't buy a truck that fits now, but will be too small 4-5 years down the road.

My 15 taco had enough power for me. At the time I went with a tundra to pull a 16 foot construction trailer. My trailer now is a 6x10 so I think I should be fine

It will feel different from the 2015, make sure you get an extended or overnight test drive

If not in a hurry just wait a year or two for the new Tundra or a Tacoma refresh
