What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

As we neared the north end of the WABDR, it'd been a fun but relatively easy trip. I don't know if it was more experience than we had on the OBDR or if the route was just easier - but @mrs.turbodb and I were happy to finally get a bit more technical trail (even if it was a side trail) for the excitement.

And then, there was the excitement at the border...

Knocked out the steering rack bushings they were shot. Much better now! Little pic of the truck for fun.

 

Picked up a camper shell today. Got a nice deal on it. Needs some work but all in all I’m pleased

 

Got a rivet nut tool today so I can actually bolt my tool box in... PO used self tappers that just stripped out so it really wasn't being held in at all

 

Yup those nutserts are awesome. Got a tool a couple weeks ago, can't believe I waited so long to get one.

 

No more attempting to get my hand in a tiny place and cutting it on sheet metal lol

 

Took my clean truck to get dirty...
Then brought my dirty truck home and made it clean again.

Awesome day with a bunch of awesome people. (even though most of them were second geners... lol)

 

Looking to replace my diff fluid. I have an 02 with TRD E locker.

Do I need "for LSD" or the LSD additives?

Amber is beautiful!

 

I was leaning towards keeping the amber. my amber tail lights on my mustang are $600+ because they only came on the 99/01 North America cobras and the 00 Australian cobras.

 

Now I just need to find I set I like that won't break the bank

 

I love tri color tail lights, and having some amber markers around the front and side. I've never seen a mustang like that but you can bet your ass if I ever need to mow over a crowd I'm doing it in one with Amber taillights. JK haha That Stang is clean

 

Ditto, the 95-97 are much more expensive

 

I thought that was a 4th gen camaro thing...

 

Luckily mine came with them but the drivers side ones get moisture and then the chrome inside peels off and makes them look really dark. I bought a nicer set and sold the ones off my car for more than I paid for the nicer set lol.

I'm trying to find a set but they all look gross. I'll find a set eventually.

 

Any reason these wouldn't work?

 

They're for a 2WD which have less fender profile, they wouldn't fit the corner right

 

Kinda what I thought. Found a set on Ebay that aren't bad, probably just get them so I can relocate my turn signals finally
