Adding an OEM Tonneau bed cover to a non equipped Taco

    Mud flaps, Tonneau, Receiver.
    This was pretty simple if you are handy, if not, or are considering buying one used off craigslist like I just did, here is all you need to know and do:

    Buy a used cover and then get some tools.

    Remove the bed top plate. It just pulls off. It will expose the screw holes for the grab posts. Install the posts and plastic covers.

    No special modding here. It is ready for you to screw it in!

    I bet you could just modify the cut out with a notch rather than do like I did, but to each his own...

    Most of the tools needed: not shown is the 12MM socket for the retainer bolt. Otherwise, this is it.

    cut out the area for the grabber post.

    I just Guesstimated and it came out fine. But I bet a U shaped cut out would work, but I would have messed it up.

    Passenger side closest to the cab is different. this is the retainer cleat for the safety bolt.

    The head post goes here, just under the rear window slide.

    The over all finish.

    Just 12mm the final safety bolt into the cleat and you are rolling. Don't for get to lock your bed.
