I bought my new tires at DT a few months ago and recently noticed a vibration between 65-70. I seldom exceed 65, so I may had had the issue on the old tires and never realized it......

To me it feels exactly like a balance issue, but DT has rebalanced twice and says they are spot on. I'm going to go to a different location that does road force balancing and see what they can do.

My question is: if it ends up not being a balance issue, what's the next thing to chase that would make it feel like a balance issue?

Oh, the truck is a totally stock 2015 with 38k Miles.

I would still bet on the tire being out of balance. My dad just got a new set of GYS and the tires were shaking him all over the road. He took them to a different shop to get them to look at them and all four tires were shaking because the NEW kid working in the shop where he bought them from didn't use the star pattern when tightening lugs. Also, it is easy for the balancer to be out of calibration. Most issues are just balance issues from people that just don't know what they are doing or they are going through the motions and not taking their time to get the tire balanced right. The other times they are tires that are out of round or equipment that is not calibrated. It seems we are seeing more and more tires nowadays that are out of round. You rarely see that with Michelin tires because they are made from a single piece mold and not sectioned together like other brands. This results in a rounder tire. Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

I've got Michelin LTX AT2s, which aside from this annoying issue have been great tires. I've been dealing with it for 6,000 miles, but it's going to drive my wife up a wall when we go on our next road trip. Hopefully I can get it in this week and report back.

Then I would literally bet the farm that you got someone that has not balanced these tires right or their machine is out of calibration. My dad ended up going to another shop (that he should have gone to in the first place) and it turned out well. Best of luck and remember happy wife happy life....:)

Long story short, I gave up and have just been ignoring the slight vibration because it was so barely noticeable and only above 65.

I took my RTT off of the truck to haul some stuff and the vibration completely vanished......Could the weight of an RTT would cause this? Maybe it was being caused by the wind because the tent is an inch or two above the cab?
