Hopefully that one was just an isolated incident for you, mine is loudest at about 54 mph.

I also have the whine on my 2018. Told the service agent and he said the mechanic took it for a ride and heard it.
Tech then took a new one out and it did the same thing. Told me they all do it. 54 to 58 mph is where it is the loudest.

Glad that you made the correct decision (OR). Hope things work out when the replacement arrives. I really believe they're great trucks, but there do seem to be some problems out there. I couldn't be happier with mine so I guess I got lucky.

Why not look at an SR5? You can get it with everything you like about the sport, but minus the things you don't. I ended up with a OR because I preferred the ride, but an SR5 would have been my next choice, especially now since the '18's have all the comforts of the sport.

Lol NVM, I see you chose one already and are on to truck number 2 lol. That's what I get for not checking the date of a post.

I test drove a Sport and it felt harsh on the road. Did corner better than OR though.

In the end I bought an OR. Got my truck to drive on shitty Forest Service roads, and it's done great so far. It just.... floats.
