Definitely post up pics when you fix it. mine is all off like yours if not slightly worse and i've just learned to live with it but it's bugged me since day 1 just not enough I guess to take it apart to fix it.

Yeah I know but I’ve only seen that member to guest ratio that low once or twice.

@Dacon, dang, you made me run outside to check mine. On both sides, my gap spacing is near perfect, so maybe there’s a way that it can be adjusted for more even spacing. Also, the hood droop, as I call it, that was the very first adjustment I made on the truck as soon as I got the truck home from the dealership. I adjusted out the rubber stops on the underside of the front of the hood to even out or lessen the visual misalignment of the bodyline not matching the fenders. I must’ve popped the hood 5 or 6 times for the adjustment, it’s not perfect but if you try to make it line up perfectly, the gap right at the front where it meets the fender seems to widen too much and it will look even more awkward. I’d take a couple of pics, but it’s is dark and raining, but I think you can make the adjustment and it will look better. Every Tacoma that I’ve seen, the hood looked off, for what that’s worth. Good luck on your adjustments.

That’s just a push type fastener and will not fix your problem.

Mine is like that. I got rear ended recently and the body shop guy and I discussed that particular area on a whim. He said he sees it often with several brands where metal lines up with plastic. He said Lexus was by far the best, with other manufacturers doing worse to varying degrees.

My next mod is to replace those hood bumpers. Mine look like the tower of Pizza. Gave up on adjusting those rubber screws pos.

    Because it’s made in America

If it was made in Japan, you wouldn’t have that issue
