    Some of the traumas I've seen have been pretty interesting. I find myself thinking wtf at least several times per shift.


    We have a vein finder on my unit also and I think it sucks! I'd rather use an extra tourniquet and a heat pack to help find a vein.

    The last time I got blood drawn the girl who did it was great. Tiny gauge needle and bam right in and done, didn’t feel anything. I’ve had phlebotomists use Capri-Sun straw sized needles and have to go at it multiple times and I’m like “holy shit could you fucking not??”
    One time they hit my nerve and that was damn exciting...:eek:

    Some crazy dude was driving all crazy on the freeway, so bad that private cars worked together to force the guy to the side of the road while waiting on DPS, when DPS got there he started fighting with the troopers. One trooper dead, one shot in the shoulder.... I haven't heard about the dickhead.
