Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Like I said, none of the decals that I've seen so far cover the other 2 edges (aside from the scoop) that cause glare.

The absolute worst source of glare so far has been the chrome ring that caps off the shifter boot on a '17 manual. It was blinding, but easily cured with some black electrical tape.

T-Rex grill with black bezel. Blacked out all the badges and added the Tacoma on the tail gate. The windows have been tinted to the darkest law will allow.

I used a 3M decal/adhesive eraser wheel that you chuck into a drill. Works great and no sore thumb. Most parts stores carry them, wish i had one over the years.

Pretty straightforward, pulled off the grille and then the chrome bezel is held in by some tabs so I pulled that out. I found a step by step somewhere on here. The bezel I actually used 5 layers of krylon satin spray paint then finished with a clear coat. It’s been three months and it’s held up great but yea this is just my temporary solution till I can pick up one of the grilles from dbcustoms

I don’t know how people can purchase a $40k truck (or any vehicle at any price, for that matter) and rattle can everything paint will stick to in the interior or under the hood. But, like you said, to each their own.

I bought this truck to go off road. To take me to places where others can’t go (or are too scared to scratch their shit up). If that means I’ll get some (mostly) temporary pinstripes on my way to/from some truly epic—and secluded—places, then great!

To some people looks are more important than adventure. I, for one, aim for the latter.

Tips for de-badging your Tacoma without any chemicals harm your paint.
place vehicle in sun for some min.use fishing line to separate from metal, after use a good
wax & polish leaves no residue.

Welp while i'm in here, thought id throw out another question... Just got some new tires and TRD PRO 4R wheels, need to get the mounted but was curious about this whole tire pressure sensor topic. Will i be able to just have the tire shop switch the sensors over to the new tires and be all good? Or is it beneficial and recommended to have a dealership do it because i've heard they need to be reprogrammed or something?

Welp should be about 85 today, lets see if that will help with a quick and easy Debadging process. Any wax/polishes u rec to wipe up the surface area the badges used to be?

I used Goo Gone and it worked great. It also removes road tar really well. Then a quick wash.

Have the tire shop switch them. They don’t need to be reprogrammed. You have a TRD off road so you have alloy rims. The Pro 4Rs are also alloy. You just can’t put the sensors on steel rims, they won’t fit. The tire shop might charge you a couple bucks to “condition” the sensors. They just clean them up.
Just drive around the block after the switch and the truck will find the sensors, shouldn’t be a problem, but if there is you can also manually reset the sensors. Tells you how to do it in the owners manual

Totally makes sense. Like I said temporary is one thing. Good thing I haven’t rattle canned very much of anything on my truck. “Professionally” painted trim on a couple interior pieces that were already painted a grey originally from factory. Changing the color professional is very minor. I have three things under my hood plastidipped but the great thing about that is it is temporary as well. Any day that comes right off and looks like new. Just like your scratches. I can’t imagine people are too scared to scratch their shit up. I’d think it’s either a do or don’t want to do situation. Nothing to do with scared. I’d scratch my truck up as well to enjoy the adventure, but you better believe I’d be buffing that shit out right after. You can go a lot of places in our country and other countries that don’t involve scratching your shit up.

You the man BlazingBlue, appreciate it the quick feedback. I'm sure it saves me from giving the Toyota dealership at least $200 bucks just to say i need them reprogrammed when really i don't.

As long as they don't break them you should be good but beware those suckers are about $80 a piece and unless the dealership is doing the work your tire shop probably doesn't stock them.
You might want to ask first just in case.

No problem. It’s only when you get new sensors that you have to program them to the truck.
It should find the old ones with no problems after a trip around the block. You can also manually reset them. I think it’s page 464 of the owners manual.
Most major tire stores now stock our TPMS and are able to program them.
