Hello, here is my story, I'll try to make it short. My dad a saved up and bought a 96 tacoma 4x4 2.7l back in 2000 it had a hit on the passeger side that was fixed. My dad passed in 2007 and we gave the truck to my sister because she was the more mature one. A few months ago she told us she was going to sell it to some random dude. I told her " noooooooooo!!! Ill buy it off you. So I'm picking it up next week. Im flying to Arkansas and driving it to Caliorina. So my Bro-in law is replacing the catalytic for me before the big trip. Ill keep posted of my journey

Still saving money for the reatoration but did a little brake light restore since it was faded and most of the reflective was gone and black (not safe), this is the result of the rustoleum metallic crome paint sorry I didn't take a before picture. I will replace the light assembly with the 2001 assembly because the clear plastic is brittle and cracked, I read it was compatible. We will see.

Ok updates, did some fixing and cleaning,
When it arrived to Cali the fuel injector in cilinder 2 quit. It was misfireing after warm up so I did it myself. I've never done it before.

Also the front passenger shock abserver was gone and with cracked LA freeways I was constantly fighting the shake of death. Here is a before picture I'll take an after picture later on today.
