    Thank you for the welcome. Sadly, no beer tonight. I am from Tennessee and came to SA for a visit. Frankie's frame took a more or less fatal hit @Wurzbach's "uneven train tracks." I knew the frame was in tough shape to begin with. But, when I left Tenn, it wasn't anywhere near the condition it is now. One of the recycler's has a frame for an auto tranny but Frank's is a manual. Are these interchangeable? Some of the salvage places are telling me yes with the addition of a new manual cross member. Toyota and two dealerships say their official position is that they cannot advise me on the subject. Anyone have experience with this?

    I’ve only done that on old chevys. It was true then, crossmembers. And I changed driveshafts. Now for our tacos it’s down to salvage yard expedition and look for yourself. I wish you good luck.
