Hey OTRATTW, have you ever thought of making a switch with a daylight LED indicator light with a flip up dimmer cover?

Basically I got your switch for my rear locker with Red indicator light, but didn't want to go with the Daylight bright option because it would be very distracting at night (although I guess it would be only short use), but the non-daylight bright option is hard to see during the day so I have to keep bending down and cupping the switch to see if I'm locked yet (my e-locker takes forever sometimes lol). So much so, that I've actually wired a separate daylight bright blue LED into a vacant switch port so i can know if I'm locked or not more easily. I plan to move it to a more permanent place higher on the dash if I can't find a switch that will work to used day and night.

Not sure if a dimmer flip up cover would be possible. We are working with Carling Technologies on various LEDs in an attempt to find something in-between on the red and the green LEDs. One option is the daylight bright red with a higher resistor which has worked very well under testing.
