    Finally got wired the money to start that large mosaic commission. It's due August 1st. I'm a quick worker so I'm not too worried but this is my first time doing a mosaic with lots of different materials in one. I'm not experienced with mosaic much at all anyways and since all the pieces are different thicknesses I'm working upside-down so it should be fun

    I started working on a new water fountain for our yard. I saw one online and had to make one.

    It's a water vortex fountain.

    You joke, but we considered that when she first had the surgery. Thankfully the vet surgeon was really good and we didn’t need it.

    After I made the water vortex fountain my wife said that's nice, make it bigger. Say no more.

    OK I just put it together today so it needs a little dialing in. I took this pic when I just got it working. The rocks I used wern't pre-washed and made it dirty.

    It already has a much larger vortex than in this pic but all the adjusting made the water too dirty to take a pic tonight.

    I will get some pics and video tomorrow.

    I have a glass cutter really similar to that but I have arthritic hands so I can't grip it very well so I don't get very good cuts out of it. Thinking about getting a pistol grip cutter. This is my second time working with stained glass so maybe I just haven't gotten the technique down. I self teach everything and haven't found too many resources online.
