I have some installed from Amazon but they are not bright or project very far. Who has something that's bright and functions well? What brand? Link appreciated.

    Why aren't HIDs an option?

    Understandable.
I had Morimoto 2 strokes and was less than impressed with distance thrown from them. Went back to HIDs, also Morimotos, MUCH better distance. The igniters and ballasts are a little bit of a pain but the LEDs had their own issues due to size with the fan on the back (in my case) or heat sinks or just poor overall performance.

I have opt7. Pretty happy with them. 2 years old and no problems.

I am running DDM Tuning Saber Pro 50W LED headlight bulbs in my highs and lows. They are absolutely awesome. Light output is great, the project perfect, the color is perfectly bright white, and the hi beams are insanely bright.

Do you have some Diode Dynamics if you do what time of bulb do you have?

I went with Hikari from Amazon. 12000lm 6k. They have a 2 year warranty and are bright as crap. Nice crisp cut off line on beam and very direct beam. I am very happy with them. They were also under $100. Coupled with my LED fogs I can probably land an airplane with them. Thanks for all the input. I looked at Diode Dynamics but they are 8 weeks back ordered and I needed a now solution.

How was the install on the driver’s side, did you have enough clearance, or did you have to loosen the housing to get the bulb in?

I did not see this post until now, but you’ve already purchased the Hikari set. Yes, they light up the road well, but probably not as crisp with distance as HID, but I didn’t want to deal with ballasts and such.

I've used these as well and they work very well. Light pattern is identical to the halogen with no scattered light so your not blinding oncoming vehicles. Its nice that there is no ballast, just plug and play. They also don't have a fan so no fan noise to listen too and are very affordable option.

Very slim profile .popped right in and didn't have to remove anything or loosen anything.

I just installed leds from xenon depot last weekend. Crappy picture below, but they work well and the color matched the pro fogs perfectly. I went with H11's in high and low. I still need to go back in there and hang the drivers. They are fanless so no worries about whirring noises or fans going out and overheating.

Had to use pro mode on my camera and take the ISO down just to get this bad pic. :)

I use the Putco Silver-Lux kits on both of my Tacomas and the wifes Highlander, a little more expensive than some of these other kits but have a 2-year warranty and i havent had any issues.
