Yes and no. Depends on how badly you want the problem replicated and repaired.

I used to live in Flag and worked at a dealer for many years in parts and service. We would have customers from the valley make appointments through their dealer to come up and have "high elevation" work done.

I live 2 hours away from any Toy dealer and go down in elevation.

Choosing to live off the beaten path and driving a while to a dealer is different than living in the state capital so that you don't have to.

I'll request a technician ridealong to replicate the issue if they want to make it tough. If I have to waste 4+ hours of my time for them to fix an issue, so do they. Especially when I can readily replicate the issue from the heat.

Called my dealer and asked about the update and having it applied. Said they've already done quite a few trucks and had no issue applying it.

Both TSB 0058-18 and 0062-18 apply the same updated ECU calibration ID of 8966304B0400 to 16-17 trucks.

I have OVTune but have put my truck back to stock tune files. I'll then have the TSB applied so i can compare it against OVTune's 1.05 update when it is released.

Does anyone have any information on MPG changes concerning this TSB? I'm currently hitting about 22 MPG, didn't know if the TSB would affect that or not.

Instead of asking Canadians, why don't you make an appointment complaining about symptoms listed in the TSB. I have my appt on July 30.

I had this TSB (0058-18, because 2017)installed today. For background, 2017 2WD auto. Stumbled, skipped, missed, whatever you want to call it at 1200-2000 rpm’s between 30-50 mph. This TSB seems to have fixed that. Also, I can now predictably choose and hold a gear with my right foot. Truck drives like it should have from the get-go. Only have about 25miles so far. I’m hoping my Tacoma won’t re-learn it’s old habits.

Took it to the dealer today. The advisor wrote up a vague write up. So I had to do a test drive with master tech. Master tech says the tsb states it’s at high altitude. He says he’s going to take a look at it. And heard something about taking apart my throttle body? WTF.

    UPDATE**
Finally got it done. I don’t know if I am tripping out. But feels like a different truck.

They didn’t add that one sticker for the hood tho.

    The stumble went away

I’m lifted on 33’s and was averaging max 17 mpg. Here’s a pic after TSB.

Prior to the TSB I wouldve been at 15 doing this speed.

Note the OAT differences in the pics and corresponding mpg

At the dealer waiting for TSB 0062-18.
For the 6 miles I drove from the dealer to home, it feels like truck has a bit more gitty-up. Before the gears were changed at around 3000 RPMs, now it holds a bit longer close to 4000 RPMs before it shifts.

Have all of you had to do a test drive to 'replicate' the issues that the TSB fixes? Ideally I want to just set an appointment to drive down and have them update me, no test drive, ha.
