Truck Camping Photo Thread

Interesting concept for an area that doesn't receive any rain. It isn't clear on the website how the top is secured to the bed in the down position. If it is just the actuators, I would be concerned about it shifting or coming off completely if you are wheeling around pretty hard. All the canopy's I've seen are secured with clamps that are tightened with a wrench.

 

Took two weeks and toured and fished Utah Oregon and Idaho.
First nights camp east of Prairie City Oregon.

 

Then three nights on the Green River near Dutch John Utah. Not pictured many large trout taken on dry fly.

 

Moving north, a night in the mountains above Pocatello.

 

Salmon River near Riggins Idaho.

 

Next came the North Fork of the Clearwater River.
Kelly Creek.

Some fat little cutthroats.

 

On the way out I nearly ran over this little guy.

 

Moving on to the Wallowas and Hells Canyon.
Camp on Imnaha River.

 

Hells Canyon.
Did not expect to see this guy in the bottom of the canyon!
Final night on Eagle Creek on the south side of the Wallowas.
And to cap it off, this was waiting at home!

 

Thread is a little Taco-light.

 

After parting ways with Ben in Boise, we headed southwest towards California - and the start of our next trip! Along the way, several cool discoveries, and memories of trips past, and I finally got to weigh the truck. Man, it's not light!

FWIW someone emailed the reps with the same question and they said it is simply secured w/ the actuators and no shifting should occur on the trail.

That's correct

 

Made it out to the Sierras for about a week. Had a blast, and captured some sweet shots in the mountains - both day and night.
