    I had beetles a few years back. I bought one of the commercial traps, and put it up wind a few feet from the garden. It caught so many that the bag had to be emptied daily.

    we have one Armenian cucumber on the vine, hopefully we get more. Tomatos are coming along nicely, green beans are blooming, jalapenos are getting bigger, spaghetti squash is coming along slowly. The other stuff is coming slowly also.

    My tomato plants are smaller than usual, but production looks like it's going to be OK. My corn and summer squash plants are tinny, I don't think I'm gong to get anything out of them this year. Might get a few squash out of one of my plants, but if I do, it won't be many. Beans, beets, carrots, rutabagas, kale, leeks, onions, and potatoes are all doing good. I need to get my garlic harvested this week, looks like it's ready. My peppers are doing great in the greenhouse, and the two tomato plants that are in there with them are also doing great.

    My root crops are off to a really bad start this year. The beets are doing okay but not great. Carrots are stunted and sparse, and the Parsips didn't even bother offering to do anything this year. Planted them three times with no luck. 1st planting rotted (too much rain), 2nd & 3rd plantings sprouted then keeled over and died (hot weather). My 4th planting is doing okay so far, but at this point it's too late; they'll never develop any sort of root before they get frost-killed this fall. I'm going to hoop them to try and keep them going a bit longer, so fingers crossed.
    Everything else is doing pretty well, though, but I've been inundated with squash beetles this week. I've been killing them left and right but I'm still finding more. Been sprinkling Diatomaceous Earth on everything, but it's been rainy so I'm not sure how much good it's doing.

    This years Thompson seedless grapes yield. The birds and squirrels were going to town on them and making a mess on top of the spa. It was time to harvest them.

    Better snag them 2 pounders before the squirrels get them! Little bitches! I don't mind them eating the tomatoes,but why do they take one,eat it halfway and then go get another! I've tried talking to them about this problem,but no luck! They won't listen..

    @TK-422 your grapes look awesome!

    Bee and butterfly smorgasboard. The Rose Creek Abelia is a winner. Love this shrub.

    I especially like #13 on the list. I make my own mix up of stuff but basically the same recipe, sometimes I use balsamic vinegar which is really good.

    My wife makes a cucumber salad that's pretty tasty. cucumbers thinly sliced, red onion very thinly sliced, Cilantro optional, Apple cider vinegar, rice vinegar, salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar.

    EDIT: haha #2 on the list above.

    Still fighting Voles in my garden, but they quit eating my tomatoes. The ultrasonic deterrent isn't working because it got too dry. I started trapping them again. within 30 seconds of putting my first trap down, i got one. I got 2 more last night. These bastards will die!
