I'm on day... Four? Fuck, day four of operation long circuit with the truck. I've built three all new harnesses and have one more to go. I still need to find a new A-TRAC switch the size and style of the factory fog light switch to the left of the steering wheel. Anyone know where I could find something like that?

The truck has looked basically like this since Monday night.
    4045BBE4-1AE3-4DC5-8491-571E19292CDE.jpg

And I'm really hoping to be done soon. I'd also like to give a shout-out to @CaliRaisedLed for their customer support yesterday. I'll definitely be buying more from them soon.

@ChadsPride where did you get those one-piece fender liners? 1) they look damn good. 2) I tore one apparently.

Haha yea, it looks much more intense than it really is. It's really not a lot but it is time consuming.

Those Fend-X liners are awesome! Definitely looking to add those one day.

Man I'm really looking forward to getting them after all that dust from hidden falls the other day. Swap you a case of beer to make my engine bay look like yours lol

So I think it's done. I redid all the wiring I had hastily installed previously and made it something worth looking at. But most importantly, I made it safe. All accessories are on fuses and relays.

The switches share a fused and relayed common power bank but that only supplies power for the LEDs in each switch.

    Power bank -
    F16CCD68-6A3D-4904-A661-C24CEF40A014.jpg

This is located under the trim near my shifter and in front of the cup holders. When the key is in the Acc or On position, the relay is triggered and supplies power to the bank from my bluesea fuse block and 12. gauge wiring.

    The switches before -

    And after -

I also rewired the fog light switch from left of the steering wheel to the new switches under the AC controls and ran the ATRAC switch to the old fog light switch left of the steering wheel.

Special thanks to @Phoosa for the pics and info on the San Antonio thread! He also gave me a simple solution to finding that switch; I reused the fog light switch and I'll just find a replacement ATRAC switch cover to replace the fog light emblem.

All the switches run through the firewall and out to a bus bar. This makes adding and subtracting accessories a breeze and should I have to do any maintenance on a wiring harness I can simply unscrew it's respective wire from the bar without having to redo an entire harness and break every little thing down.

    3EDCF2EF-2AB0-4C86-950D-B4E1CAE7A195.jpg

These are simply the signal wires from the switches for the relays - everything is all soldered and shrink wrapped too. I used clear shrink wrap on the buss bar for easier identification and because I like the look. the accessories get their power directly from the fuse block.

The ATRAC was exactly the same except the blue pin 85 wire is red with a black stripe.

    Harness construction.

Not much to look at yet but it was coming along! In the end I changed a few things up but it was basically plug and play once I put it in.

Nice, I'd like something like this but built around my hitch so that limits me from buying.

That's a lot, and I mean a lot of wiring work. One thing I need to learn more about. Very good work by the way, looks good!

It's got a hidden class 3 hitch. That's actually one of my favorite things about the bumper, the license plate flips up for access to the receiver. But because the truck stops a bit high and the bumper moves the hitch up another 5 inches or so you've got to use an 8" deep hitch and that just looks hilarious on the truck lol

Thanks! Yea definitely a lot of work. Something like 35-40 total hours. Granted, I was working slow because of the heat and the cervesas slowed me down a bit more on top of that but ya, lots of work.

Thank you! And thanks for checking it out :D

Thank you! I am too. I watched an older Jeep catch fire and burn to nothing in just a few minutes. That stuck with me. Another reason I like to do all my own work - I trust it. That said I need a freaking fire extinguisher!

I was thinking some quick fist grippy mounts or something and mount it to a rail in the back but I dunno. Where would you mount yours?

See thats the thing.. If i mounted one i would likely put it on the roof rack of my shell since you'd want easy access in the event of a fire, but i dont like the idea of buying something like that and then leaving it out for someone to steal.. Then again it doesnt make much sense to put in inside the cab or shell where you'd have to unlock it to get to it..

If it came down to it, id probably use some quick fists and mount it to the shell somehow..

Yea I'm in the same boat. I want easy and quick access but security as well. Still working that out.
