^Google maps didn't let me insert nearly all the destinations, time to start planning. Going to be me, my old roommate, and a friend flying in from Ontario. She's never been off roading before, and is dying to see LA for the first time :bananadance:

If anyone knows awesome spots along this route, be sure to lmk!! Also, any of y'all are welcome to come if you can get a month or so off work :rasta:

How big is the event, typically?

I wasn't gonna go because my truck looks way way more shitty than usual (which is usually pretty shitty) but if I have to clean her tonight i'll do it

    Yes.
I have a set on my Tundra now. Don't have enough miles to be able to answer the lifespan question though.

My old roommate has them on his TJ, they're wearing alright. Pretty good off road as well, but I don't fuck with Coopers after my buddy got a set of defective tires that got him less than 6k miles on two of the tires (x2 rotations in that time, alignment was fine) and Cooper refused to send him two new tires

The two tires we're damn near down to the wires, no tread left, they looked like slicks

Yep, 6k. Two we're bald and the other two I bet didn't last more than 20k. He he drives like an ass but he's not doing burnouts (as if his old 5.3 Tahoe could burn out 295s), and his alignment was a little off but not NEARLY that bad. Tires wore decently even

I posted on the Cooper tire fanboy thread a couple years ago with pics and receipts when it happened and got flammed off TW just for saying what his experience was :bananadead:

Just FYI, @Pandaman59, I’d let Tandem install your UCAs and do the alignment. They’re a pain and it’s worth it. Also, don’t rush your lift install. It’s nice to be able to take breaks when needed. I’d plan for a month out when @Bigdaddy4760 is back
They’ve been on my list for a long time now. I’ve only heard two complaints about them and I see the them everywhere. I read about a few guys getting 50-60k out of them, but I’m not sure how frequent that is (or if there was off road use). ST Maxx is a great daily and very aggressive, but I’m not here to tell you how to live your life

Yeh.. he had a stock 5.3 with 180k miles and two massive DD subs w/ dual batteries in the back, the thing couldn't do a burn out on gravel until he was banging off the rev limiter... and that was with his stock tires

Got about 8k on some 295’s now, love em in the dirt! Wet traction is what you would expect from a mud tire and they start to talk at about 30 mph. I would buy them again.
