I’m looking a nice set of seat covers but have some unique circumstances that are making my decision hard. Price really isn’t an issue but what I do need is durability, factory look fit and something that’s not to hot. I’m a pool guy so I’m in the heat all day and get in and out of my truck atleast 20 times a day so my driver seat takes a beating. I’m looking at clazzio and seat covers unlimited has a canvas set. Not interested in Wet Okole. Just wondering if any of the AZ guys have any experiences or recommend something Im missing. Thanks in advance guys.

There is no seat cover on earth that will make your cheeks cooler in that god forsaken state of Az. :tumbleweed: I lived and worked outside there for 6 unfortunate years. Buy a new F150 they have cooled seats or just embrace the ass sweat.

i think your better investing in a nice sunshade if youre looking for a cooler truck.

its practically impossible to keep the truck cool in az in the summer. find a covered parking spot is pretty much your best bet. even keeping the truck in the garage, its still hot when i get in it.

I have a really good sunshade and steering wheel cover. That’s AZ heat 101. The ass sweat sucks and being a pool guy I have to
Park outside all day. I need a cover that can handle water and be durable. Just don’t want a crappy seat cover like my last set from Coverking.

Never mind the seat covers. How are you with the lonely house wives? Do tell...
P.S. Any of you have a pool? And work long hours? Wife alone home? Taco parked outside?
    Just asking for a friend.

I have Marathon Seat Covers. This is the 3rd truck I’ve put them on. I don’t know if they are any cooler than the factory seats, but they hold up well. Both my kids are competition swimmers and have practice 6 days a week so the seats get a lot of wet butts sitting on them. Not the best picture, but they fit well.

@TACOVRD yours and mine both! I just ordered Clazzios! Ouch! Not cheap but after reading 175 pages of positives post about them I feel like I can’t go wrong.

If I had a work truck I'd install solar on a roof rack, 2nd battery setup and an RV window A/C unit in the rear window. Then I'd just have it run full time all day.

I wonder how stupid it would be to cut holes in the floor and mount vents and fans and just have it circulate when parked. For a daily driver keeping the cabin at 110 vs 165 is probably worth it.

That said, it's a dry heat, so why shouldn't I use a swamp cooler? It's not going to rust or mold the cabin in Arizona. That too could just run all day.

And while I'm thinking out loud, if I could set up 2 battery system with solar I'd want to take the DC AC compressor from a Prius or Tesla and stick it in the engine so that all the power goes to the drive train.

They really should make a hot weather package with a DC AC, that can be wired up to solar, extra insulation, triple pane glass, seat coolers, rear ac, extra big engine fans, reflective tint on the roof, etc.

Car companies are missing the boat because their ceos live in Michigan. There's a market for aftermarket hot weather retrofitting.
