Sweet jeebus! New bromad looks sick! In Cement to match my Taco! I had eyes for the new Nomad but this Bronson or Bromad has me second guessing!

150mm is the sweet spot for an all around rig.

My current rig sits at 160 front and 150 rear. And it’s definitely more capable than I’m willing to be. And that’s an SC Butcher from 2012 with modern components and cane creek Angleset, RC2 FOX 36. I can only imagine what a new one with the current generation link would be like.

20180728_171046.jpg Was following a frisbee golf trail, slipped off the edge and ended up down in this riverbed. Looks beautiful but was so damn slippery it might as well have been solid ice, took awhile to get out.

Sundays are for hardtails. Nice morning at Walnut Creek. Got there early before the crowds. By 10am I saw 3 different groups of 20+ riders. Complete madhouse.

Got a ride in on our local trail, then went & did some stringtrimming maintenance on the trail.
And as a bonus, saw another TRD Sport parked out there with another rider.

Looooving the new CK coil. I'm totally sold on coil shocks on these bikes (Devinci). With their ultra-progressive suspension, the coil suits it perfectly. Super plush, supple, and great platform. Takes some tuning, and you need to know what you're looking for, but the reward is a killer shock.
With that, I'm selling the DPX2. That thing was amazing, really the best AM shock I've used. Also selling a set of Guide RSC brakes, if anyone's interested in a big upgrade...

I miss the tech flow of Walnut Creek, it's the one trail I wish I could've picked up and moved with me to Oregon.

I got out on a little back country mission yesterday and connected to one of my favorite jump trails we have.

I live in Texas, but just got back from a trip to Colorado. Here are a couple pics from Little Scraggy Peak Trail. It is near Pine, CO. It was a great trail, with a long climb that almost killed me lol. The altitude definitely played a factor, but I kept pushing and made it through.

The Calling was becoming a Creak-o-matic. So I had to break down the suspension and crankset, clean and regrease. Quiet and clean for now, just in time for 4 days of rain. Oy!

That trail looks Rad. I'm gonna have to remember this one.

I always love how awesome my bike looks when its super clean. Then I ride it ONCE in the dusty Utah summer and it's a hot mess all over again. :bikewheelie2:

Is so is. Download the MTB Project app and you will find it there with a good description. Actually, if you mountain bike it is a great app. it see's where you are, and shows you trails in the area with a good description and maps.

Trailforks is what I use. I have always had a little better luck with it. Just looked it up; The elevation profile isn't that bad, but 7500+ feet will get to you, especially being from the lower elevations.

Did you do an out and back or through ride and take the road back? Didn't look like a loop.

Finally got a chance to take my rig out on the 1up bike rack today. Rode North Table Mountain. Update on the rack: it’s rock solid- rack doesn’t move at all at hitch or rack tray, easy to load and unload bike, and I’m able to lay my tailgate down when rack is at bike mount position. My only gripe, and it’s not a big one, is with a large 29er (at least mine anyway), the front wheel wobbles a bit. I was able to eliminate most of the wobble by looping a bungie cord around the front wheel. I placed one end of the cord on the rack and the other end on the padlock that prevents thieves from loosening the secure bolt. Unfortunately I snapped this pic after I removed the bungie cord- DOH!
