At the end he says if you can’t afford a ZR2 then the off road isn’t a bad choice. Shouldn’t he be comparing it to the Pro then? Since they’re probably in the same price point instead of ragging on the truck that is a few thousand below

I guess you are not a George Carlin fan. He’s got a great bit on stupid people and that’s where this joke originates.

yeah i'm a carlin fan and was already familiar with it. he was wrong too. in a perfect situation, it would be accurate. based on my own personal dealings with people both in retail for 7 years and IT for another 14 years, the average person is dumber than a box of rocks. The average intelligence could be considered to be high if intelligence is a number, but that is being driven up by a handful of smart people. you are way more likely to meet a dumbass than a genius.

Why give any credence to this grossly subjective opinion "review" at all...

Their test truck is a "TRD Off Road 4X4 double cab long bed", and it's clearly a '16 or '17 access cab (in Jul2018). Some pics also show a DCSB Limited. These jackwagons don't even know what kind of truck they're "reviewing"...

If we all listened to CR we'd have the most bland, A-B vehicle that would be no more inspiring than my washing machine. If you want an appliance then they're your go to reviewers. Hell, if I want to make sure I buy the best bang for my buck, reliable and dependable household goods I grab a CR and take their opinion seriously. But if you enjoy your vehicle, if your rig represents something than just transportation to you then you're doing yourself a serious disservice.

The premise is correct... The math is not.
