2 months in and rock chip turned into needing replacement, Even after it was filled  Anyone have any advice on quality of replacement (OEM vs OEE)? Or installers (large company vs mobile small business) haven't found any sort of certification or qualification I should look for.

I'd like to know this as well. Thinking about asking for the IR reflective windshield that doesn't let as much heat in. Stupid $500 deductable though for a damn rock.

Why don’t you ask your insurance company?

I’ve replaced one windshield already in my truck, and have had a chip fixed in my replacement windshield as well, and it looks like it’s going to spread. I went with the OEM replacement for $420 installed, and shortly after I lowered my comprehensive deductible to $100, for future cracks since these windshields seem crack prone.

Agent hasn't been available today. Waiting on return call. Have 4 different quotes already in case have to pay deductible or out of pocket. Thats why figuring out if anyone has any tips. Most people just let ins or salesman tell them and regret later.

Had a rock chip on my five day old truck back in Nov. By the next day it was cracked across.

I insisted they put in an OEM on a week old truck. It took a few days to get it in but I wasn’t going to go with an aftermarket glass- deductible is the same either way.

I had mine replaced with an after-market windshield. I honestly can't see any difference right down to the Go Pro mount.

After a less than satisfactory experience with Safelite, I asked my dealer who they used. They got the job done faster and cheaper than Safelite, right in the parking lot at work.

I had non-OEM done and it was visibly wavy along the top edge of the windshield. It also leaked, a lot. I forced an OEM replacement.

Took 3 OEM windhsields plus a reseal in the middle to get everything sealed up.

Probably the worst vehicle experience I had with any vehicle.
