I might have to sell my Tacoma and get a full size diesel to haul around all the equipment I need for my business. I'm tired of having to make multiple trips and getting close to payload.

Anybody around here have/have had a Duramax?

Stay away form the first gen unless injectors have been replaced recently and the price is right, second gen LLY was hit or miss some of them had overheating problems when hauling a heavy load, third gen is holy grail...the LBZ, I cant speak much for the generation after that but from what I gather they had to shoe horn a bunch of emissions equipment on and it caused some issues. I had a 05 that got Tboned at 298k and it was running fine and never needed anything outside of wear and tear items.

My lb7 went 200k on the factory injectors before they started sticking. Water pump at 180k. Miss that truck some times.

All models (01-07) seem to have a transfer case pump rub issue. Cheap to fix before it becomes a issue. Keep that in mind when shopping.
