The stock unit isn’t bad but I’m looking to keep the Head unit. I’d like to replace the tweeters and door speakers. Does anyone know of direct replacements for these. I don’t want to get into the whole rewiring stuff or a lot of cash to replace them either

I don't have any experience with it, but apparently a lot of people like the OEM Audio stuff: http://oemaudioplus.com/toyota/tcd1600/

You can also go with crutchfield. Kicker seems to have good TW reviews. Crutchfield will tell you what fits, give you harnesses, and tell you how to do it.

not sure what you mean by the "get the o to the whole rewording stuff", but I replaced my entire speaker system except the head unit with an OEM audio plus made specifically for the Tacoma, all plug & play.

Some with the sr5 were underwhelmed. Glad to hear it worked well for you. I did it in my OR and more than pleased.

I used the exact ones that are in the thread.
    Sounds great compared to stock.
You won’t believe how cheap the stock speakers are.
