Carmax was a good suggestion. They typically give higher values than other dealers, but it will be trade in value, not retail. For comparison, I just bought a 17 DCSB TRDOR 4x4 with 16k miles on it, in California where Taco's are worth their weight in gold, for 33.9k. Good luck with the sale. Prob going to take some patience though.

This. Carmax is where you go to get your low baseline then you sell it privately above that. If you need quick cash or can't get much more privately, only then should you actually sell it to them.

I've never had good luck with CarMax quotes. The two I got were always $2000-4000 below what another dealership offered without me even showing them the CarMax quote.

I did similar but didn't do as well as you did. I just had a dealer agree to match the Carmax offer so I didn't have to run back and forth.
