I used rubber bed mat as a template to cut the same shape out of a 1/2 think piece of plywood. Urethaned the plywood and then put the plywood underneath the rubber mat because it protects the bed and makes the mat sit flat. When I go camping i sleep in the back of my truck, so pull the mat out and put it on the ground behind the truck.IMG_20180624_185423396_HDR.jpg IMG_20180624_184904478_HDR.jpg

ugh, I hope not. Now Im going to be thinking about it haha. Someone also asked me if I was worried about it flying out? I cant imagine that ever happening with how heavy it is and the close fit. Fingers crossed.

My sister and her family had been living there and luckily no one was there so no injuries, unfortunately I discovered she didn't have homeowner's insurance. We were able to salvage some things but tough to see the place I grew up and where my mom passed away in that kind of condition.

I would be worried about it with a bunch of kids in my neighborhood. With my previous trucks I would be leaving my house during the day and the neighborhood kids would be playing in the bed of my truck.

It’s metal. I got it from a member here. But you can get from Toyota. It’s an OEM accessory

I have a stall mat from Tractor Supply. thick and heavy and can take a serious beating without damaging the truck bed. If you are looking for protection, and tailgate protection, my personal recommendation would be the bedrug

Leaning towards a bedrug like yours instead of a rubber mat. Couple questions for you; is it padded underneath enough to not hurt your knees while crawling around? Does it slide around or does it secured to the bed somehow? Easy to wash out if it gets dirty? Where did you get it? Thanks in advance!

How tall is that divider? I have a BakFlip and the mount lowers the rails about 3" - wonder if it will still fit.

The OEM bed mat is a no brainer... inexpensive, OEM quality and it really works to both protect the bed and keep things from sliding around which is a necessity for most folks. that plastic is very slippery!

My bed still looks pretty good almost 2 years in. Inside of the tailgate has scratches all over it but it is a truck so I don't expect it to remain pristine given I actually USE the bed to haul all kinds of stuff from lumber to camping gear to bikes and boats and even brick and tile from time to time.

It won't. It mounts to the rails in the stock position. to lower the mounts 3" would take some southern engineering, a cutting torch and welder. It would probably fit as far as height. I had it under an OEM cover.
