@Bluegrass Taco yes I am interested. Getting a new job in July so the on call problem I've had for the past 14 years will practically cease to exist. I've been reading up on the forum lately since you first posted it up. Just wanted to make sure I was in the clear work wise before I signed up. But I should be there no problems. Thanks.

We have a mixed bag of trucks going in October. Some are full blown trail rigs that will probably be doing the hardest of the red and black trails. We also have a bunch of daily driver, stock or very mildly modded trucks that will be sticking to the green and blue trails. There is literally MILES and MILES of really interesting scenery. Black Mountain is my personal favorite trail system. The green and blue trails are well maintained and not at all difficult to navigate in a stock vehicle.

Oh, BTW, I'm still up to my ears in a job that owns me....I know what you mean about the on call problem....Sux....But it's a paycheck.

Sounds like fun. I don't think I can make it this time around, but maybe another time. I will keep a lookout on this thread for future trips though. Thanks

Not sure if it would be considered "middle" TN, more like South Central, but does anyone know of any trails around the Chattanooga area? We took a trip up to Cleveland/Benton area this weekend in the car, and it looked like there were some decent trails around the Benton Falls area, but nothing explorable in a car that has 4" of ground clearance, haha.

Figured I'd plan a ride up to the area again in a couple of months to see places to explore if it's worth the trip.

So you're asking for trails around Chattanooga? Or South Central Tennessee? Chattanooga is eastern Tennessee.

What kind of wheeling are you interested in? Nevertheless there is plentiful official and unofficial off road spots. The unofficial spots you have to find ;)

Official: Adventure Offroad Park (AOP), Aetna, Prentice Cooper, Coppinger Cove in the immediate Chattanooga area. Rumor has it there are a few leftover Tellico ORV Park trails that can still be ran

Ironic, I was in Reliance this weekend also (Beside Benton). Camping all weekend and ran Hiwassee River on Friday and Ocoee River on Saturday.

Ah, I guess you're right with Chattanooga being Eastern TN. Mainly looking for public trails. I generally take 2-3 trips a year up to NE Georgia and run the more popular off road and forest service trails, so something along those lines. Chattanooga is actually a closer drive for me from Columbus, GA. Guess I could always print off the Forestry Service map for that area, isn't that the Chattahoochee National Forest where Benton Falls is?

Mainly just seeing if you guys knew of some good go-to trails to plan a trip around.

It is actually Cherokee National Forest. There are nice trails to be had throughout CNF and especially fun up there in the snow. Hurricane Creek Road is a popular public OHV trail located off of I40 out of Asheville. It's a mild trail to the top of Max Patch.

Loads of trail Wartburg/Oneida/Caryville/Crab Orchard area
For example this is a popular destionation: https://easyoffroading.com/index.ph...-train-tunnels-in-catoosa-national-forest-tn/
