Registration Fees in AZ

My wife's 15 Camaro is $300+ though

 

Yeah, that's something I've been wondering about. I know a lot of last second negotiations were done over how state/local taxes can be written off fed taxes, but I don't know the details on the final version.

 

Still cheaper than California....

But then we have the new $32 additional tax that started .

 

I’m paying over $550 for my 2013 Tacoma, anyone know why? I’ve had it over 3 years.

 

I have no idea why, but my 2021 was only $680 last year, and it is one year old. I'll be paying less than $550 next year I think.

The 1 year registration renewal on my 2018 Tacoma, with personalized veteran plates, was $435 this year...

 

I checked my renewal options and I got 3 different ones:
1yr - $260
2yr - $475
5yr - $955

I've never seen a 5 yr option before.

 

5 year option only exists in areas that don’t require emissions testing.

 

5 year is for places like Coconino County, which do not require emissions testing/vehicle inspections of any kind.

That doesnt seem right, unless you paid for more than 1 year at a time. I see in your signature its a Prerunner. Registration fees are based off the original MSRP of the car and reduce each year. You should not be paying anywhere close to $550 for one year for a 9 year old prerunner since they are significantly less cost new than 4x4 trucks.

 

Before I sold my 2013, the 2021 one year registration was 145.17, payment due date Oct 15, 2021. Prerunner, DCSB OR.

Got my registration in the mail today. Good until 12/27. I'm in Maricopa county and only thing I can think of that may have given me that option is because where I live is old farm land. But that's probably not accurate. Either way I don't have to renew again until Dec. of 2027.

Also would have paid $125 less but I have a Cardinals plate.
