I am buying a 2016 Tacoma tomorrow, but my only concern is that the seat felt a little too low. Does anyone know if there is way to raise the seat? I see that it has been done on the 2nd generation, and I'm wondering if the driver's seat is bolted the same way for the new one.

Theres a 2nd gen seat lift option? Dont most 2nd gen owners end up staring at the mirror when looking straight ahead and not having the mirror lift bracket?

I milled two riser blocks from 6061 aluminum bar, to raise my rear mounts (on the front seat), up one inch. Found the position to be more comfortable. Used two new bolts 1" longer than factory to secure the blocks and the seat frame.

Would doing this also allow people in the back to slip their feet under the seat for added room?

Might as well wait till the 17's come out and get a drivers seat from factory for the 16. Apparently the 16 was going to have power/adjustable height for seats, but had an issue with the manufacture. Should be ready next go around.

First post. Just got my 2018 Tacoma Off Road and love it!
Sorry to reply to such an old thread, probably a newer one. This is one I found that helped find the seat lift. I did purchase the 2.5" adjustable thinking that way I can adjust it. The spacers are 3d printed. After installing it, it had way to much extra on top. I only liked the 1". I searched and searched. I found that a M10 1.25 50mm bold fit great. its a 8.8 grade bolt. I got it from Ace Hardware, payed under $6.00 for the two after tax. Home improvement and auto part stores did not have the bolt needed. I hope this helps others!
