The fad annoys me too, but the good ones I've seen put out some amazing light

They are nice when you need light at night when working on something or you get to a canp site late. But ive seen lots of trucks where they didn’t hook them up or they just through it on and it serves no purpose because its so badly angled

True, I just need more light for seeing animals at night, and being able to see potholes and whatnot on gravel roads, forest service roads get dark at night

Ditch lights are on my list eventually too to light up the sides more, wheeling at night is fun, but it sucks when you get in a pinch and can't see shit

I've done a mod or two
At camp I have lights wired under my tent rack and to the side of the truck. I have rock lights but hardly ever use them, they are nice for walking around the truck at night though. I have ditch lights but never put them back on this truck. I may do that eventually though.

my 2 cents and yes I know I am just a, what we used to call NOOB, when it comes to this stuff - but ditch light pods are enough. They are for me at least. If I need extra light, those little lights throw out enough.
