So my 2017 TRD PRO has a major water leak from the 3rd brake light, an inch of water in the rear of the truck. The service writer at the local dealer says they fixed it with "silicone and masking tape" because they can't get the parts to fix it.

Long story short the truck has been down for 17 days now, i have an open case with Toyota Corporate, they have no ETA of the part coming in. Toyota corporate told me not to pick the truck up because of health and safety reasons from mold/mildew.

Not sure what to do here, i have a new 4Runner as a loaner which is nice but id like my truck back!!

Be patient. Drive the loaner. Let the dealership fix the issue. Let Toyota pay the bill.

Too many but also not enough mods
I think if it's 20 straight days you can lemon law the truck but double check online

I looked it up and yes, however he needs to provide dealership with a certified letter to the manufacturer? Whatever that means. That's why it's good to get a lawyer to handle this stuff.

I work at a dealership (not Toyota) so i am very familiar with lemon law cases, they are pretty straight forward. But i love this truck and wouldn't want to give it up unless i could get another PRO, also wouldn't want to loose my down payment i put down.

That's basically it. Buddy of mine had Q50 one of the first in my area. He lemoned it after a year or so because the self driving sensors kept freaking out and had a hard time proving it to the dealership....they both gave each other headaches. He eventually got it lemoned and got the hybrid version which is even better. Sometimes it plays out for the best.
