I grew up around 9 aunts, one thing I learned real quick was that women ain't property. They don't like to be treated as such. They kick ass.

Everyone in TTC has been nothing but perfect gentlemen in regards to this, just to be clear. But in other groups the guys seem to get over protective and very territorial of the women in their groups without reason. I think some of it is that they want them for themselves, some are dreaming because they're already married but maybe wonder what it's like to have someone who enjoys the things they do, and some are just the "you're not part of the group" assholes.

I think they are hoping if they try hard enough to be like "shes ours" the girl will swoon. I can tell you it does not work and it also has a negative effect on the relationship between the other women in the group as generally wives don't like their husbands flirting. Even if the girl being flirted with is 100% not receptive to his advances there is generally animosity created there because then she's a "threat". All because one guy is a douchebag. I was actually joking about this with some of my female racecar friends on Saturday night. We did some runs and had stopped at a car meet and we all got some deadly looks from one guys wife. I asked what the deal was and the other girls told me she doesn't like to come out to the meets but when she does she glares the girls down because her husband is friendly to them. I made the joke of "I'm totally coming for your man girl. In my jean shorts. Converse and tshirt how could he resist?"

I've got almost nothing but male friends in both the Cadillac and Toyota world and while I know they have my back I like to think I can generally handle myself. If I need help I'll ask and I do my best to be respectful to everyone and also not come off as someone flirty or project that image because 1. that's not who I am and 2. I want the ladies to come out and enjoy themselves too and not be like "Who the fuck is that?".

    Gangster as fuck.

There is a Toyota dealership near where @Wju and I live. We can carpet bomb the Tacomas on the lot so that when someone buys a Tacoma, they know there is a support group readily available to them.

"Hi, my name is Gary and I own a Tacoma. I enjoy congregating and holding hands with fellow Tacoma owners and long walks on the beach. I have a problem with too much money in my bank account, and I need help spending it on my Tacoma."

There is nothing about that sea salt and lime beer that looks appetizing. Sea salt and lime chips? Yes sir. Sea salt and lime beer? Poop.

    BWHAHAHA "CHURCH OF CHAD".

    BrrRrrrrRrrrrRrrrrRrrrr

    Estamos unidos con La Raza.

    That's disgusting, and you're a bad man.

    :fistbump:

If I'm going to drink shit beer, it's going to be Coors or Coors Light.

    "TACO" should be in pink.

    :rimshot:

Ruby Redbird was one of the few Shiner beers that was palatable. Christmas too.

I sincerely doubt it'll do anything for you with regards to the latter issue, but for what it's worth, I think you're a stand up guy.

    Report back with impressions, please.

Every single fucking scene has that drama at some point or another.

    WTF, Sammy Davis Jr.?

I cannot stand not being able to well at night. I upgraded the wiring harness and headlight bulbs on both of my Tacomas. That mod has easily been the best thing I've done to date, with the ImMrYo rearview mirror bracket a close second. They're extremely bright and illuminating, and I ensured that the headlights were adjusted properly to account for the extra height on both Tacomas, but that hasn't stopped the occasional high beam flash from other drivers.

This should be a sticky. Many people can stand to learn a lot from your behavior and what you've written here.

God, I’d love to see you bust the balls of some outsider or someone who crossed the line. That’d be hilarious.

You’re one of us. A sister. That means no one can give you any shit but us.

A few weeks ago a guy in a Kia Optima was in front of me at a red light. Apparently he didn't like my headlights illuminating him and the entire interior of his car.

Mistake #1: once the light was green, he cut several people off to get behind me and turn in his high beams to show me who is boss.

Mistake #2: despite changing lanes twice to allow Mr. Twisted Panties to pass, he stayed right behind me to demonstrate his zeal for teaching me a lesson.

Mistake #3: thinking he could outrun me after a hard brake check and an attempt to speed away from me.

At that point, he learned what my high beams were like and that my fat pig of a Tacoma can still scoot.

Moral of the story: if you don't like having your cabin interior illuminated at night, tint your windows or don't buy a car.

A friend in high school wired his reverse and brake lights (in an 82 Blazer) to come on with switches. Reverse was like backward-facing headlights, and useful when loading in the dark. Also useful for tailgaters.

The brake lights were awesome - brake checking someone without actually brake checking.

Yo that’s some primal baboonery right there  Like being in a gang of apes

I applaud your recognition of the apparent problem because it’s just that. The fact that it is a problem blows my mind.
