I took my 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road up to Coyote Flats in the Sierras. I was with my meetup group Southern California Off Road Explorers aka SCORE. It was a great trip with them, Tom was leading and Andy was following behind me. This was my first off road trip in my new truck. I have been off road before in my Subaru Outback, but this the most technical off road trip I have taken. This was a learning trip for me, Tom was giving me instructions when I needed it over the radio. We camped overnight in a little cove, Tom led me back out the next day so I could get back home to do some motorcycle riding. lol

Here is a Youtube video I did off my Rexing V1 dash cam.

Any rubbing with those tires? What size did you fit under there with the stock wheels?

Looks like a fun trip and the truck looks great! I didn’t know there was more than one Sierra, where are the rest of them? :boink: Sorry, ex geographer here... since you are in So Cal, there are many close by places to go next like Anza Borrego SP, Los Padres NF, Joshua Tree NP, San Bernardino and Angeles NF, etc... have fun!!

I put 265/75/16 KO2’s on my stock OR rims with no rubbing, OP ‘s look similar.

Did you get over to funnel lake? If so did you do any fishing? Curious if there are still any fish in there.

I have 285/75 r16 KO2’s, I had to get a 1.25” spacer for the rims because they were rubbing the front arms. I only did a 2 1/2 inch lift leveling off the truck to fit the tires, it still rubs a little in tight turns going over a rock. No problems on regular surface streets unless I hit a big dip.

We camped 1mile away from there, it was to much of a rock garden trying to get there, bumpy is putting it mildly. My friend walked his dog over to the lake, he said there was still a lot of water in it but the level was lower than previous water level line.

Yes, I got this truck May 4th this year. I already scratched the hell out of it on this trip, had to line x my fender flares. I have my plates but I put in for specialty plates, this trucks name is PAWZOFF.

How much of a lift did you do? Mine rubbed the arms, so I got a 1.25 inch bolt on spacer.

I was surprised he was coming with us. It’s actually 4X4 and he had the same tires and size I have on my truck. That van is nice on the inside like a 5th wheel, he has a bed, spot for his dog, and a sun shade that let out from the side, and more. I was empressed, and he did all the work on it himself.

It was in the 90's up there, but soon as the sun went down it did get down to 48 deg. I hope you have fun up there, be careful.

I have the same tires as you and a 2.5 OME lift. I had to use spacers too until I switched to TRD Pro wheels. They apparently have a different offset or something because I was able to leave off the spacers with no rubbing. Something to consider if you decide to get different wheels. Nice looking truck btw. I like the subtle feminine touches.

Thank you, most people don't notice that a woman must own the truck. lol I also thought it was rubbing because of the offset but I don't want to get new rims. I have been to New Mexico before, I know you are doing some good off roading out there right?

Yes, NM has just about any terrain you could want for off-roading. Desert sand dunes to snow capped peaks and everything in between. If we only had some ocean front beaches I'd be in heaven. I'm going tuesday to spend a few days camping and playing in the dunes at Mescalero Sands OHV near Roswell. If I don't come back blame it on the aliens. :alien: :)
